For units that run daily through the hot months, a deep jet-wash once or twice a year and a basic service in between keeps them efficient. Units in dusty rooms, near busy roads or in kitchens usually need cleaning more often.
Most of the time the drain line or drain pan is blocked with slime and dust, so condensed water overflows at the front. A drain flush during a cleaning visit usually fixes it. A tilted unit or a split drain pipe can also cause it, and we check both.
No. Refrigerant does not get used up. If the pressure is low, there is a leak somewhere, and we look for it before adding gas. Refilling without fixing the leak just means paying for gas again a few months later.
A deep jet-wash of a single wall-mounted split unit typically takes 60 to 90 minutes, including setup, cleaning, testing and tidy-up. Multiple units are scheduled so you are never left without a cool room.
We fit a waterproof drip bag around the indoor unit, cover the floor and furniture below it and wipe down afterwards. Dirty water goes into the bag and bucket, not onto your wall.
